We have been keeping a very close eye on the progress of 100 Princes Street over the past couple of years, and we are delighted to share with you that it has opened its doors to guests! Red Carnation’s newest jewel, set right in the center of Edinburgh, is ready and waiting to welcome you to Scotland’s capital city.

100 Princes Street promises to be an emblem of exclusivity and lavish comfort, offering an unmatched, richly immersive Scottish experience. This is a place where luxury meets legacy.

Welcome to 100 Princes Street

The hotel itself is set right in Edinburgh city center, where luxury hotel openings are few and far between, making the news of a brand-new place to lay your head even more exciting. The building was once the headquarters of the Royal Overseas League, bringing an historic legacy to the table. To say its location is enviable is an understatement: it is a stone’s throw from Scotland’s National Gallery and directly faces Edinburgh Castle. Perfect for both discerning travelers AND culture-seekers!

Echoing the ambiance of an elite members’ club, 100 Princes Street offers an exclusive escape into a world where history and modern luxury converge.

What Stands Out

A breathtaking, hand-painted mural by Croxford and Saunders is unforgettable, celebrating the daring spirit of the Scottish explorers who once called 100 Princes Street their refuge. This artistic marvel stretches above the majestic five-story staircase, inspiring all who traverse it to embark on their own journeys of discovery.

Custom furnishings and handpicked antiques adorn the 30 unique, tartan-lined rooms and suites. Unobstructed views of Edinburgh Castle can be admired from so many of the hotel’s beautiful rooms, including the signature suites—named Archibald and Isobel after the renowned Scottish explorers Archibald Menzies and Isobel Wylie Hutchison.

The same goes for their majestic dining establishment, The Wallace. Here, patrons are invited to indulge in rare Scottish whiskey tastings, deliciously refined afternoon teas, and a menu that pays tribute to the richness of Scotland's local produce, prepared with meticulous attention to detail.
