While you can combine the above hotels in any imaginable way, here’s one idea of how to combine a few of them to make the most of your time in Italy.

Day 1
Florence

Fly into Florence and transfer to Villa San Michele, perched in the hills outside of the city and enjoying sweeping views. This former medieval monastery perfectly captures the romance of Florence, and it makes an incredible base from which to explore this storied part of Italy. Enjoy the rest of the day relaxing at the hotel to get acclimated to your new surroundings.

We recommend staying at least two nights, but stay longer if you have the chance so that you can properly explore Florence and enjoy plenty of downtime at the hotel too.

Stay: Villa San Michele, A Belmond Hotel

Day 2
Florence

Enjoy today exploring Florence. We can arrange all the best private local guides for you. Depending on your interests, your guides can show you the highlights of Florence—including the incredible Uffizi Gallery, the Accademia, the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, and more—or perhaps some hidden gems you could never even imagine. Tell us your interests, and we will plan a bespoke day of sightseeing for you.

Return back to your hotel for relaxation when you have finished your sightseeing.

Stay: Villa San Michele, A Belmond Hotel

Day 3
Tuscany

Next, plunge into the rolling hills, olive groves, and vineyards of Tuscany with a stay at Castello di Casole. You can reach this former medieval castle by car in only an hour, though we will likely recommend an activity along the way, such as a wine or olive oil tasting, to get you in the Tuscan state of mind.

Castello di Casole is an authentic 10th-century agricultural estate, and today, it is a timeless refuge deep in the Tuscan countryside. Disconnect with modern-day living on vineyard walks, cycling trails, stargazing excursions, sustainable cooking classes, and lazy afternoons by the hotel’s luxe infinity pool.

We recommend staying three nights at Castello di Casole (or more, if you have the time). This allows you to get out and explore Tuscany while also leaving yourself time to enjoy this magical hotel.

Day 4
Tuscany

We can arrange as much or as little as you’d like during your time in Tuscany. There’s plenty to see and do, especially if you love your food and wine. Cooking classes and wine tastings are always popular here because they give you a taste for the region (literally and metaphorically!).

Alternatively, simply enjoy your surroundings at Castello di Casole. You really can’t go wrong.

Stay: Castello di Casole, A Belmond Hotel

Day 5
Tuscany

Enjoy another day exploring the scenic hills of Tuscany or simply reveling in your surroundings at Castello di Casole.

Stay: Castello di Casole, A Belmond Hotel

Day 6
Amalfi Coast

Make your way south to the Amalfi Coast and the stunning Caruso. You can choose to be privately transferred with sightseeing along the way or to take the train, which takes about three hours.

Set on a cliff-edge a thousand feet above the sea, Caruso is your balcony over the Amalfi Coast. This romantic 11th-century palace boasts lush grounds, access to a private beach, and a panoramic infinity pool stretching across the horizon. Original frescoes, vaulted ceilings, and archaeological artefacts add to the dreamlike setting where, in addition to your incredible surroundings, you can enjoy creative gastronomy and a mesmerizing spa

We recommend staying at least three nights at Caruso, and longer if you have the time!

Day 7
Amalfi Coast

Enjoy today sightseeing on the Amalfi Coast or relaxing at your hotel. A local driver-guide can take you up and down the coast, showing you some of the best spots along the way, including Positano, Ravello, Sorrento, and more. This is an absolutely staggering part of the world, and getting to know these beautiful towns is such a pleasure.

Return to your hotel for a relaxing evening and sumptuous dinner.

Day 8
Amalfi Coast

Today is yours to discover the region further. Perhaps you want to take a cooking class in Naples or make the 45-minute drive to Pompeii to discover the UNESCO World Heritage Site. We also wouldn’t blame you if you simply wanted to bask in the Italian sun on the cliffside infinity pool at your hotel.
