Las Alamandas is an exclusive resort situated on 2,000 acres within a private estate in a pristine nature reserve on Mexico’s Pacific coast. Select one of the extravagant oceanfront villas, located right on the sand, or choose a luxurious villa set back from the beach on the small hills. The brand-new Casa Bougainvillea is really swell, featuring panoramic ocean and garden views.
All accommodations feature a terrace or veranda, large bathrooms with oversized tubs and double showers, and a Jacuzzi.
Wine & Dine
At Oasis Restaurant & La Palapa Beach Club, you’ll find a fabulous representation of contemporary Mexican cuisine, which blends classic Mexican recipes, the finest fresh and organic ingredients (most of them grown on-property!), the latest Mexican and international trends, and the inventiveness of the resort’s talented chefs. The seafood is freshly caught by local fisherman, meats are procured from local farmers, and the resort’s organic gardens supply the bulk of the produce. Enjoy your meal in the indoor/outdoor dining room and bar of Oasis Restaurant or at the sand’s edge at La Palapa Beach Club.
Bar Azul, also known as the “Blue Bar,” is an open-air rooftop lounge decorated in shades of blue (hence the nickname!), where cocktails are mixed with the extraordinarily colorful sunsets and a sea of stars above. It’s the perfect place to relax with an expertly crafted cocktail in hand, enjoying your serene surroundings.
Fill Your Days
Between the excellent resort facilities and the diverse natural environment, an exceptional range of activities and outdoor experiences awaits you. From relaxing on the beach to swimming in the resort’s 60-foot pool to playing tennis, basketball, beach volleyball, ping-pong, croquet, or lawn chess, the resort’s facilities have plenty to keep you busy. Little ones can head to the kids’ club while their parents enjoy the brand-new spa, which is complete with a full beauty salon.

Get a workout at the fully equipped gym, or head out for an outdoor adventure. Horseback ride on the beach and miles of trails, mountain bike along trails and dirt roads in the eco park, hike on trails or secluded beaches, kayak, surf, boogie board, or snorkel. Birdwatchers will spend their time seeking out the more than 100 documented species along the coast and inland lagoons. Keen fishermen can head out to the Pacific in search of red snapper, sea bass, and more. This nature reserve has plenty to keep you active, if you can pull yourself away from your relaxation.

When to Visit
November through April is the best time of year to visit, but we got the inside scoop that December to February is the most ideal time. Everything is still incredibly lush and green from the rainy season.
Speaking of this time of year, a little birdy told us that there is still some availability in the festive season. New Year’s in particular tends to be a very popular time of year to visit, so this late availability is a rarity that begs you to secure your spot ASAP!
