To complement their cookery schools in Florence, Florencetown announced the opening of their very first cookery school in Milan last month. La Scuola di Cucina di Alessio Leporatti is located in the heart of Milan in the brand-new “Mercato Centrale.” Created by Executive Chef Alessio Leporatti and dexterously managed by our friends at Florencetown—the first Italian tour operator to organize hands-on cooking experiences for visitors—the cookery school provides bespoke and private options along with their small-group offerings.

Held in Florencetown’s beautiful cooking studio in the heart of Milan, this engaging and enlightening journey will take you through the luscious flavors of Italy’s most beloved staples.

Your dedicated chef teacher, a professional expert “pizzaiolo” will walk you through every step, teaching you the origins of pizza and how to properly combine the ingredients to make a perfect flaky crust. You’ll knead your dough to perfection and create a delicious sauce. While you cook, adults can enjoy a taste of premium Italian wines and olive oil, while the little ones will have soft drinks to sip and savor.
While your crust rises, you’ll work on creating your dessert: gelato! Your chef will show you how to transform your raw ingredients into delightful scoops, and you’ll even learn how to make an ice cream cone from scratch!
