It belongs to Kit Kemp, who is the design guru behind the Firmdale hotels in London and New York (those are also to die for!). Kit frequently uses bold colors and patterns, sure to captivate you and imprint on your memory, but always without being overwhelming. You can expect to see Kit’s signature quirky imprint on this home, which her own family uses for holidays from time to time!
The house is an opportunity to truly indulge in island living, enjoying amenities such as a housekeeper, cook, laundress, gardener, handyman, and a night security guard. Stroll through the grand hallway of the house, enjoying stunning views of the coast, and truly feel as though you have moved in. Spend your days in the garden looking out at the stunning view of the west coast of Barbados, heading down to the beach, or relaxing in the house’s 2.5-acre garden.
Rossferry is located on an exclusive residential lane called the Sandy Lane Estate, sure to make you feel like a local, and is within easy reach of tasty restaurants, local shopping spots, and world-class golf courses. Another lovely perk of being in a residential area is that you will have access to the owners-only Sandy Lane Property Owners’ Beach, only a 10-minute walk from Rossferry. Here, you will find your own private cabana and a full staff including beach attendants and the comfort of deckchairs and parasols.
The house includes four beautifully appointed bedrooms, all with king beds. The rooms are all air conditioned as well, meaning you can enjoy the wonderful heat of Barbados outside while still experiencing the comfort of home while indoors! As if you won’t already feel spoiled enough, each bedroom also has its own private terrace looking out either at the pool or the lush gardens.
As far as dining goes, you can choose each day which vibe you’re feeling, as there are three distinctly different dining spaces. There is a more formal dining space inside, al fresco dining with stunning views on the terrace, and then a very relaxed feel in the gazebo next to the pool. Speaking of the pristine pool, it’s 82 feet long, one of the longest in the Sandy Lane Estate (which is really saying something as there are some gorgeous pools around here).
