With the fantastic news that Hawaii re-opened its doors to travelers again last month, we knew it was time for us to put the word out about our pals at Four Seasons. With three incredible properties in Hawaii—including properties on Maui, Big Island, and Oahu—you really can’t go wrong. While all three properties will re-open very soon, Maui is up first, re-opening on November 20th, so we decided to shine a spotlight there first!

Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea
This year has taught us what a treasure fresh air can be, and now you can escape to Maui and celebrate its wonder in this open-air beachfront resort. The resort sits on 15 acres in Wailea, so there is plenty of space to find a shady respite and practice the all-important social distancing. If you’re going to have to social distance, you might as well do it in style!
With accommodations ranging from guest rooms right up to presidential suites, you’ll have a range to choose from, all of them known as the most spacious on the island. Each room has a private lanai or terrace, and if you choose to go up to the Oceanfront Prime Suite or higher, you will receive the “Complete Suite Experience.” The oceanfront suites are sort of a hotel-within-a-hotel, with their own dedicated staff and increased levels of service, which is really saying something considering this resort is renowned for its service in general.
During the day, you might choose to relax in one of 81 cabanas that face either the ocean or the pool—take your pick. The resort fronts Wailea Beach, one of the largest golden sand beaches on Maui, and the Four Seasons team is happy to set you up on the warm sands with chaise lounges and umbrellas wherever you might choose. Best of all, all of these options are complimentary. In fact, Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea is the only resort on Maui to offer complimentary cabanas and no resort fee.
Should you feel like treating yourself, upgrade to one of the six luxury cabanas by the adults-only serenity pool or perhaps one of the four elevated ocean-view cabanas with your own personal lawn near the fountain pool. These luxury cabanas can be rented for a fee and must be reserved in advance, but we highly doubt you’ll regret indulging a little!
The dining options at the resort itself are definitely world-class, including Wolfgang Puck’s Spago, which continues to wow diners. Also of note is DUO, where you’ll find incredible surf & turf with a theater kitchen. If you’re looking for a meal right on the beach, Ferraro’s is Wailea’s only true beachfront eatery, featuring hearty Italian meals and Mediterranean flavors to delight the tastebuds.
Of course we can also liaise with the team at Four Seasons to arrange any activities you might want to do, should you be able to drag yourself away from relaxing by the pool and indulging in delicious meals. Whether you want an active adventure or a totally relaxed time, each aspect of your journey will be totally personalized to exactly what you need.
COVID-19 Safety Procedures
Now that the doors in Hawaii have been re-opened to visitors, all guests will be expected to present a negative COVID test (dated 72 hours prior to travel or less) on arrival at the airport to avoid a 14-day quarantine. There are some initial steps that can be taken once your trip is booked that we can help advise you on should you decide to travel!
Once you arrive at the resort, you’ll present your COVID tests to the staff at check-in as well as undergo a temperature check, fill out a screening procedure form, and sign a waiver. All employees at the resort will be wearing masks at this time, and guests are required to wear masks in indoor public spaces and when receiving service in your room.

There is a very exciting promotion going on at the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea, valid for all bookings made by November 30, 2020, that we thought you would want to know about. The promotion is called Make Time to Connect and is valid for travel until June 30, 2021. The special rate, which has been reduced by 20%, requires full pre-payment at the time of booking and is nonrefundable, but changes can be made up to 24 hours prior to arrival, making this one of the most flexible advance purchase offers we have ever heard of. Please note that changes in dates are of course subject to availability and any rate difference from the original dates of stay.
Alternatively, perhaps you’d like to choose the Experience More Resort Credit offer, which is valid through December 18, 2021. This offer entitles you to a $50 per night resort credit on guest rooms or $200 per night resort credit if you are booking a suite. You will also enjoy a one-category upgrade at the time of booking for stays until June 30, 2021. Please note this is not applicable over festive dates.
